Baby boy is ONE YEAR OLD!
My brother, Ephraim’s Uncle Seth, endured a night long bus ride to join us in the celebrations. We had a lot of fun coming up with decorations, baking cakes, and being silly just because we could.
Ephraim’s birthday bash was great! Our place was too small to fit all of the extended family and friends, so we crashed Kevin’s brother’s house. Ephraim tried chocolate quinoa cake for the first time. He liked smashing it but he still prefers sweet potatoes. He was given a ton of fun gifts that he plays with all day, books he likes to peruse, point at, and turn the pages, and even some supplements. We are really excited to take him out in his new red wagon this summer.
Ephraim’s turns ONE!
Since Uncle Seth is a drummer, it was fitting for Ephraim to receive a small congo (the real deal) from him for his birthday. He is pretty good at patting it now.
On the day of his birthday, we had another cake smash after dinner.
We were also surprised with a birthday party when we stopped by my old office! How sweet our friends are there. The cake was delicious and Ephraim got a kick out of everyone singing happy birthday!
What a blessing, to be surrounded with love by so many dear ones for his celebration. May God grant Ephraim many years!

Hi Katie, Kevin and Ephraim! What a special time you all have had celebrating Ephraim’s birthday. The pictures of him are so precious as is he. God has truly blessed him with the perfect parents (perfect in all the love you give him)!!
